The hotel is set in beautiful grounds around a small lake, offering a lovely atmosphere. the owners, Mr & Mdme Colas, are extremely friendly and welcoming. the breakfast is excellent with a variety of options, and the evening meals are exceptional. the hotel offers bags of parking and is located in a pretty area of France close to the lovely town of Brantome. the authentic and typical decoration adds to the charm, and there are little balconies overlooking the garden in the rooms. it is a great value for money.

The picturesque setting, away from any noise, offered a peaceful retreat. The hotel's large grounds were perfect for walking our dog. The rooms, although not modern, were clean, beautifully furnished, and provided a comfortable night's sleep. The delicious breakfast and Sunday evening meal were a rare treat. a unique and enjoyable experience.

The bedrooms may have been small, but the overall ambiance made up for it. Using the sat nav, we found the Auberge easily, and it was worth every moment of the drive.
